(A) Career Day
1. How to participate as an employer?

All employers who had registered with the DARP earlier will get an invitation email about the upcoming Career day.

The company needs to fill up the google form and make an online payment once it decides to take part. For any inquiry, please call Mr Lee Wan Poh at 03-90860288/ ext. 868 or email wplee@utar.edu.my

2. How many days?
One day, Time: 10am to 4pm.
3. Estimated number of UTAR participants? Expected number of visitors at the career day?
Estimating a total of 1,000 students from different year and faculty. Around 25,000 (from both Kampar & Sungai Long Campuses).
4. When is the graduation?
January, May & October annually.
5. How many times is it organised per year?
Twice per year in Kampar and Sungai Long Campuses. Usually takes place in March & July.
6. What are the charges like for the Career day booth? Can company register for more than 1 booth?
RM250 per booth. Yes, the Company can register for more than 1 booth.
7. How is it promoted?
DARP will blast emails to students, put up posters around campus and social media and make announcement through portal.
8. What type of companies usually joins this career day?
Companies that usually join the career day are from engineering, manufacturing, accounting, banking and finance, education, real estate, financial planning, recruitment agency and etc. background.
9. Will the companies conduct on-the-spot interview for the participants?
Yes.
(B) VIRTUAL CAREER FAIRS
1. How do companies participate?

2. How many days?
One week, 24 hours a day as it is an Online Career Fairs.
3. Estimated number of UTAR participants?
Around 25,000 (from both Kampar & Sungai Long Campuses).
4. When is the graduation?
January, May & October annually.
5. How many times is it organised?
Once per year and usually is in October.
6. What are the charges like?
RM100 per counter.
7. How is it promoted?
DARP will blast emails to students, put up posters around campus and social media and make announcement through portal.
8. What type of companies usually joins this career day?
Companies that usually join the career day are from engineering, manufacturing, accounting, banking and finance, education, real estate, financial planning, recruitment agency and etc. background.
9. Will the companies conduct an online interview for the participants?
Yes, but based on students' own initiatives.
10. How can students contact the company?
As it is an Online Career Fair, the company's logo will be placed at the Career Fair Portal as an e-Counter. Students can click the company's logo to look for a vacancy. If they are interested, they may send their resumes to the company.
(C) Career Workshop
1. How do students participate?
Upon filling up a google form, DARP will email a Pro-forma Invoice to the participant. Participant can make the payment at the Division of Finance. For any inquiry, please call Mr Lee Wan Poh at 03-90860288/ ext. 868 or email wplee@utar.edu.my
2. Can students obtain soft skill points? If yes, under what category?
Yes. The categories are as follows:
  • Lifelong Learning & Information Management - 5 points
  • Critical Thinking - 5 points

    9am to 4.30pm.

    5. What are the charges?
    RM10.00
    6. How often is this organised?
    Usually it is organised in March and July at Kampar and Sungai Long Campuses.

    The usual topics are:

  • Interview Skill

  • (D) Career Talk
    1. How to participate?
    Companies need to contact Mr Lee Wan Poh at 03-90860288/ ext. 868 or email wplee@utar.edu.my for the arrangement.
    2. What is the best time to conduct the talk?
    Afternoon at 2pm.
    3. How are the promotional activities conducted?
    DARP will blast emails to students, put up posters around campus and social media and make announcement through portal.
    4. What are the charges?
    RM200 per session which consists of one-hour profile talk and one hour interview.
    5. How often is it organised?
    Based on the company's request, usually in the January and May trimester.
